Jack Dalrymple, the governor of the State of North Dakota, issued an executive order on Monday calling for an evacuation of the same plot of land that the United States Army Corps of Engineers called for evacuation of last week.

The order can be read here.

It states that it will remain in place “until the Army Corps of Engineers redefines or removes these prohibited areas.”

Cecily Fong, a representative for the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services, said the state does not plan to clear the camp if people do not evacuate, echoing similar comments from USACE.
